EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AT MA'HAD URWAH

We are proud to share with you the exciting activities that Mubzies are exposed to and get to enjoy.
Not only do our learners have a blast decorating their cupcakes, but they also learn a range of valuable skills such as following instructions, teamwork, and creativity. These skills will come in handy throughout their lives and are essential to their success in both their academic and personal lives.
Coding
In addition to our popular swimming and cupcake decorating classes, we’re introducing new activities which include unplugged coding games and activities. Unplugged coding is a fun and interactive way for learners to learn the basics of coding without the use of technology. Our learners will engage in activities that involve problem-solving, critical thinking, and logical reasoning. They’ll learn how to break down problems into smaller parts, plan out their solutions, and then put them into action.
But that’s not all. We’re taking our coding education one step further by providing each learner with a tablet on which they’ll be taught basic coding. Our dedicated teachers will guide the learners as they learn to create their own games, animations, and interactive stories. This activity is not only fun, but it also prepares our little ones for the digital age that we live in.
Karate
In addition to unplugged coding, we’re also introducing weekly karate lessons taught by Sensei Jamila Bhikoo. Karate is a fantastic way for learners to develop their physical strength, balance, and coordination. It also teaches important values such as respect, self-discipline, and perseverance.
Our dojo area is adequately equipped , and we can’t wait for our Mubzies to begin their karate journey with Sensei Jamila. Our karate classes will provide a safe and supportive environment where learners can learn and grow.
Swimming
These swimming lessons are with a qualified and experienced swimming coach. Our coach helps our learners develop their confidence in the water and teaches them valuable water safety skills.
Basic Woodwork
Our basic woodwork sessions have been a hit with the children. Under careful supervision, Mubzies have explored the fundamentals of woodcraft. They have learned to handle simple tools and create small wooden projects, developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. The joy on their faces as they completed their individual projects was truly priceless, instilling a sense of accomplishment and confidence in their abilities.
Basic Pottery Skills
Pottery sessions have introduced Mubzies to
the tactile art of working with clay. Through guided instruction, they have
mastered basic pottery techniques, from shaping and molding to painting and
glazing their creations. This activity has not only spurred their creativity
but also improved their concentration and patience.
If you’re looking for an ECD centre that goes above and beyond to provide a well-rounded education for your child, look no further than our Ma'had Urwah. We offer a range of extra-curricular activities that cater to a variety of interests and skill levels, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and grow.
Elementary Kickboxing
To ensure a balance of physical activity,
our simple kickboxing classes have been both fun and energetic. Mubzies have
learned basic kickboxing moves, promoting physical fitness, coordination, and
self-discipline. The structured yet playful nature of the classes has helped
the children channel their energy positively, while also introducing them to
the importance of physical health and teamwork.
We are immensely proud of the progress and
enthusiasm our Mubzies have shown in these extracurricular activities. At
Ma'had Urwah, we remain committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating
environment that encourages our children to explore, learn, and grow in
multifaceted ways.

Milkshakes with Mawlānā is designed to create a warm and welcoming environment for our learners to interact with adults from other schools. It provides them with a wonderful opportunity to build meaningful connections and develop a loving relationship with the 'Ulamāʾ (Islāmic scholars) of their town.
